January 31, 201214 yr I really don't understand this mode.If prevent cloud redraws is selected the weather won't change, right? So what's the point of updating weather as you go?If i disable it, then clouds pop in and out every weather update, horribly unrealistic. In ASE, with DWC and prevent cloud redraws disabled, the clouds fade in, rather than pop up out of nowhere. Is this a bug with AS2012?Can somebody explain how you can get an accurate weather depiction over a long flight with prevent cloud redraws enabled?I'm baffled.Stu i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.
January 31, 201214 yr Hi Stu,As far as I am aware the Prevent cloud redraws stops the clouds poping and redrawing between weather downloads. It does not stop the clouds being updated when a new download takes place.I flew from LFML to EGKK last night ,a flight of around 1.75 hrs. My download weather time is set for 20 mins so that by the time I am ready for take off the first refresh has taken place and these occur at similar time intervals throughout the flight. The weather en route changed over France until by the time the French coast was crossed the clouds filled in.At no time did having the Prevent Cloud redraws stop the clouds updating.Norman Norman Bowman
January 31, 201214 yr I'd say wait for Damian to chime in but he was last active here on Jan 14th. Don't know were he has been as he usually is active and responding to people. Maybe they are deep into SP1 for AS12..... Eric
