Flew three flights to various airports with all lasting two hours without incident. Only thing in common with the CTD was all my flights had KATL as the destination so a bad scenery file might just be it. I'll check in the other forums for additional info. Thanks for the response.

A possibility could also be a rendering of a specific ai model/paint. If it has a frequent presence at KATL's area then it also might cause a crash most of the time. See if you can narrow it down to the time of the crash and then look at the KATL arrival schedule.If you think this might be the problem in a separate window you can run Traffic Look (free) from the FSUIPC support site:http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/It will display in a grid the action of AI in your area and I believe the display will just freeze if FS crashes.
