Verge no flap indication

Featured Replies

When I choose the landing vref in the fmc, there is a small, green indication which appears on the bottom of the speed tape on the pfd. It usually says ref and underneath,xx/yyy, where x is the landing flap setting, and y is the vref. However, on the past two flights, whenever I choose vref, I only get an indication which says ref, with only the vref speed underneath and no final landing flap setting. Is this normal for this to occur sometimes, or is my panel state corrupted, as I always save my panel state at the end of each flight, and use it as my starting state for the next flight.Edit: the topic is supposed to say vref, not verge, I am typing on my phone and the autocorrect changed it.

Believe this is an option - you're probably flying liveries that have it set one way vs. the other.

Okay thanks good to know Ryan. I only fly AAL though so maybe it was my eyes playin tricks on me from when I first flew the Ngx with the default livery. However, I'll pay close attention on my next flight to see if I get bothe flaps and the landing ref.

Just watched a video on YouTube using the American Airlines livery and the pfd did show both the flaps and the landing speed, so I have in fact seen this when I fly too. I wonder what can cause it to not display the speed an the flaps also.

It is, not a terribly costly one, too. Just a couple thousand bucks..

Are you sure you are flying the same livery? switching between say AA from PMDG/AA from Avsim/Astrojet McPhat might have different configurations.

I did try the mcphat one but I uninstalled to diagnose an OOM error FSX has been giving me. Like I said, I have seen it before with this livery so my guess is that my panel state must be corrupt.

Okay, I just confirmed, it is a customer option, it just seems that it was there on the AAL livery when the NGX came out, but is not an option anymore on the updated livery.
