February 7, 201214 yr I don't know why, but after every time I have tried that Shader3.0 mod, I have had to totally reinstall my FSX. Doing it by the numbers, and correctly still has messed my game up beyond anything other than a reinstall to fix.I would stay away from it. William Sequeira

Never an issue here, and I haven't seen many others with major issues after using the shader 3.0 mod. Especially ATI users, who see a larger benefit in using it. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

As I have a slower XFX 5770, I know I could be running this game at least a little better....but...I have never been able to get it right, and seems that the forums and threads now concerning it are pretty much dead. I have made a couple posts, and no replies as of yet.Oh well, I just went for the upgrade :) but still wish upon a star I could have gotten it working. William Sequeira
February 7, 201214 yr Most bang for your buck is overclocking. I see you are at 3.0 GHz, I'm running at 3.2 GHz.This. Biggest performance gain I got by a long way (presuming you have SP1 and SP2 installed) was overclocking my i7 from 2.93 to 3.7GHz. 2nd biggest performance gain was switching to DX10 Preview - yes I know it has its faults but if it works well with your system it can make a massive difference, and it does with mine. Most sliders are fully to the right, along with the addons I have listed in my sig. Everything else I have tried (bojotes tweaker and various other 'magic solutions') are just tweaks.

I tried flushing the cache but, no success. I don´t know if having REX installed has anything to do with it or not since it uses shader 2.0. I simply gave up on it and continue using REX.
