I'm just slogging through the process of reinstalling FSX and all my addons after a reformat a few weeks ago. I found a couple of my Captain Sim order numbers had been deactivated due to being activated on different IP's and computer configurations. I raised a support ticket this morning asking for the order numbers to be reactivated and CS have done that within 3 hours.Thumbs up from me for CS support.

Interesting.... The last time I ever delt with them was when I had my 757. Their support was awful at best. They were very rude and didn't help me in the least.

That's not really support and could even be automated so reactivation was instant.Suport generally refers to situations where you have a problem that needs to be understood, diagnosed and fixed, rather than an artificial situation where you run afoul of a sales policy.Cheers,- jahman.

Do not think this is automated process. Had it been so, no order numbers would ever be locked.

I don't believe it's automated as the form users are required to fill out for reactivation of order numbers asks for an explanation of why you have installed on more than 3 different IPs. I didn't expect to receive a reply until tonight or tomorrow morning. If memory serves me CS are based in Canada. I sent the request late morning UK time and received a reply with the order numbers reactivated within 2-3 hours. That's pretty good service as far as I'm concerned.

Suport generally refers to situations where you have a problem that needs to be understood, diagnosed and fixed, rather than an artificial situation where you run afoul of a sales policy.
I wanted to install my CS aircraft. Some of them wouldn't activate because I had done so from various IPs over the last 2-3 years. I contacted them to get the order numbers reactivated. They did so very promptly. I think that's product support as far as most people are concerned.
