I really have begun flying with my ch yoke (about 10+ years old) on Win 7 64. Whenever I engage the ap and altitude, it noses down into a dive (flying with the yoke is impossible). I set fsuipc to log to a window and can see messages scrolling in it. When I disconnect my yoke the problem goes away. Also, when connected, I move the trim wheel and the on screen display appears to go nuts when I am flying. However, it does work sometimes. Is ch manager still usable on Win 7 or is there another solution? Does it sound like it might be broke?

The most recent version of Control Manager (CM) can be found here: http://www.chproducts.com/retail/tech_control_manager.htmlIf you have an old version of CM installed:1. Disconnect Yoke from PC2. Uninstall CM3. RebootAfter CM is uninstalled, or it was never installed:1. Connect Yoke to PC, wait for WIndows 7 to automatically install bum drivers2. Install CM using "Run as Administrator"3. RebootOnce CM is installed and you have rebooted:1. Download this guide and follow it for calibration instructions: http://www.ch-hangar.com/files/Docs/Dummies_Guide_III.pdfBest of luck!

Hi bic,What pmanhart says is correct, but I'd add a few things......After you plug things back in and Windows loads it's drivers, check in the Devices and Printers and make sure they seem to be working, that the axes move and the buttons flash. Don't calibrate, though. Also the 64-bit versions of Vista and Win7 will open the standard Windows calibration applet if you calibrate from within FS. You can hit the Windows applet if you like, but outside of FS it will just pop up a message that you have to calibrate from within the CM. Never calibrate in the standard Windows applet. You can exit to the desktop, open the GUI, and calibrate them there. If they get calibrated using Windows. some registry data is written that interferes with the CM and it won't run correctly, and the calibration from within FS is just a call to the Control Panel.Once things look like they're working, restart Windows before you run the actual installer. That lets Windows detect them in normal boot order. When you plug them in, they're detected in the order you used to plug them into the ports. When you restart the first time, they'll come back in Windows boot order and that will usually cause Windows to take them back to the "bum drivers". That causes a "Reset Defaults" on the controllers and they'll need to be rescanned. There's a button on the first dialog that shows up when you go to the Test/Calibrate screen in the CM GUI, but if you do the restart after plug-in but before running the installer, it generally doesn't happen.Couple of other tips. Don't change ports if you can arrange it. I use one of those USB->PCI cards and leave them dedicated to the to the CH stuff so I don't need to rescan things. Changing the port will give the controllers back to Windows. The trimwheel should show 128 for a Raw Value in the CM test screen (or the Windows screen if you check "show raw data") with the elevators centered. Hard to hit exactly, but if it's too far off there a sensitivity change when you pass through center elevator that makes it difficult to control sometimes, especially when your down in the ground clutter at landing and the framerate is down. It doesn't have to be exact, you probably won't but as long as it's around 128 calibration will sort things out. After that, leave the trimwheel alone and use button trim or assign an analog trim axis. I usually use the throttle wheel on the FighterStick, having the ProThrottle makes it unnecessary, but any axis will do.Finally, the CM doesn't get along with USB 3.0 ports, so be sure and use USB 1.x or USB 2.x.Best regards,- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stickworks.com

Sorry to reply so late, but I had actually calibrated them, several times. How do I undo that? Or is just unplugging and rebooting, then plugging in good enough to clear that?

Give this a shot bic,1. Unplug all CH Controllers2. Run CM Delete from the CH folder in the Start Menu (this should delete all CH Drivers and Calibration Data)3. Uninstall CH Control Manager4. Reboot PC5. Plug in all CH Controllers (like Bob said, preferably where you won't have to unplug them)6. Install the CH Control Manager software, preferably by right-clicking on it and selecting "Run As Administrator"7. Once CH Control Manager is completely finished installing, reboot PC8. Run CH Control Manager and calibrate the controllers with the calibration tool in CH Control Manager, making sure to note for what Bob mentioned regarding Axis values, with ~128 being center, 0 being one end of the axis and 255 being the other end of the axis (if this isn't the case, you may have a bad potentiometer or controller board in the yoke. Potentiometers are easy to change and are $10 when ordered from CH).If you follow the above and manage to get a good calibration, DO NOT EVER use the Windows Calibration tool, only ever use the CH Controller Manager to calibrate again when and if the need arises.

Thanks after a lot of fussing, I think I got it working. Some buttons, like 11 and 12 are not programmed by default in FSX. So, I'd try to map as elevator trim up and down, but FSX didn't see them. I figured that they were not in Direct Mode, even though they were checked in CH. I changed ch to use not use direct and assigned key presses, then in fsx I was able to set using the buttons.

The other problem was the plane was in a constant left turn. I ended up recalibrating the pedals and noticed the left was off a bit when returning to center. I pressed the right last and this seemed to fix the constant left turn.

Now, Flight is still acting very eratic with the yoke and pedals. It seems that the left pedal is constantly pressed in Flight. I try to use right pedal, but it seems to waver all over the place and go back to full left.
