March 7, 200422 yr When I create a flight my tower view is set at my departure airport. After takeoff, how can I easily set my destination airport tower view so I can watch my approach? Thanks!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.

March 7, 200422 yr Or if you don't want to take that route, just go into map view and drag the tower to wherever you want it to go.Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
March 9, 200422 yr ok its a bit of a pain but here it is Go to map view either in the pulldown menu or by clicking the map icon on most panels, when in map view select "tower" then click the minus sign a few times to zoom out, then u have to drag the little tower icon on the map to your destination airport. then you start zooming in with the plus sign and keep adjusting the tower location untile your zoomed all the way in . Then put in the alt of the tower. Its a pain in the butt but the only way I know how to do it. In 2002 I used fsnav to do this but its not an option in 2004. Good luck Brian
March 9, 200422 yr I was under the impression that you could also make or even set a tower position through AFCAD in FS2002, at least. Am I wrong in saying this or what?CheersNick Tselepides

March 9, 200422 yr >When I create a flight my tower view is set at my departure>airport. After takeoff, how can I easily set my destination>airport tower view so I can watch my approach?>>Thanks!>AirbusI always start with the create a flight. There set the destination as your current location (upper right of create a flight screen). For example if flying to Hobby in Houston enter KHOU as current location.Next load your flight plan - in this case, I load KDAL to KHOU and when it asks to move to departure airport I say yes. This will leave the tower at the destination so you can view your approach and landing from that vantage point. This is the only "easy" way to do it without trying to drag or purchase addon software or whatever.YMMV. : )
