New Manhattan scenery from Aerosoft !!!!

Featured Replies

HiI just checked out the previews of the upcoming Manhattan scnery by Aerosoft and it looks totally amazing !http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/en/ibosh...555358120,02021Having been and lived in Manhattan I must say that the scenery is very well detailed... just wondering how much it will hit the frame rates.Manhattan scenery covers: * The whole island of Manhattan (East Side, West Side, Uptown and Downtown); * Ellis Island; * Governers Island; * Liberty Island; * Roosevelt Island; * Sections of New Jersey Hudson river and Long Island East River edge.Included: * KJRB, Port Authority Downtown Manhattan/Wall St Heliport; * KJRA, West 30th St. Heliport; * 6N5, East 34th Street Heliport; * 6N4, Pan Am Metroport Heliport; * All major bridges in great detail; * All famous landmarks on Manhattan; * Repaints of Bell 206 heliporter to suit the location; * Detailed manual of the heliports, VFR flight routes and covered area; * Effects files for smoke and other effects; * Seasonal textures; * Spectacular night effects. This is a must to anyone who is flying in and out of New york.regards, Jani

I really like those sattelite-style shots :)BTW, according to a beta tester, this will have no more impact than default scenery maxxed out...

>I really like those sattelite-style shots :)>>BTW, according to a beta tester, this will have no more impact>than default scenery maxxed out...Hi,Sorry if I sound a little negative, but I have heard claims like that before and discovered differently. It'll be interesting to see if it's really true! ;)Regards,Jim

Simply magnificent.I just have one question. What graphics card do I need to buy to get visuals like those screenshots?

I emailed Aerosoft and asked if they have a NYC resident sending them shots of some of the buildings there. The waterfront buildings looks good, but the interior buildings are wrong as rain.Thet Empire State Building is especially vulgar. I hope they redo it to match the quality of some of the other custom buildings.

Will it be compatible with NY Megascenery?--Tom________http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg------------SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS------------ Dell Pentium 4 at 3.2GHz with 800MHz FSB 1GB Dual Channel DDR SDRAM at 400MHz 128MB DDR ATI RADEON 9800 Pro 21 inch P1130 FD Trinitron CRT Monitor 120GB Ultra ATA/100 Hard Drive Sound Blaster Audigy 2 with DVD Audio WindowsXP Home Edition with Microsoft Plus!

I thought that. I wonder if the freeware Empire State & Chrysler Buildings available in the library here would fit in OK?I suspect the interior buildings will only aim to capture the feel, to get every building right would require until the release of FS2010 to complete!!

I dont think they redid all of the buildings..I think some are the default models still...but with newwer buildings here and there.Still looks nice though.Craig

Looks Great!....Now why can't somebody do the same for San Diego? :)
