February 22, 201214 yr Every once and a while when I'm setting up a flight I will forget to load the flight planbefore I actually spawn the plane at an airport. Particularly prone to this these daysbecause I enter the plan into the FMC with most planes anyway and don't care aboutthe plan the sim itself might have loaded....But of course VOX needs the plan from the sim, so ok, but what I don't understand iswhy if I disable VOX, then load the plan, and then re-enable VOX doesn't it work??I always seem to have to 'end the flight', go back to the main menu, load the plan, andTHEN respawn the plane, this is very aggrevating, and if the sim itself can handle havingthe plan loaded at that later point I don't see why VOX can't.For now I'd just like the developer or someone else who might understand the internalsexplain why...Regards,Jack Jack F. February 23, 201214 yr heem, it should be able and read the plan after you Disable/enable Vox..never tried it though.maybe you want to pop this question to their support team. Edited February 23, 201214 yr by Akila Joel Strikovsky
February 23, 201214 yr Author Maybe it "should" but it never has :) Its a simple task to repro it, select a plane and location, but no flight plan, select fly now. Then load the flight plan after the fact, and enable VOX, youwill discover that it will take a long time but finally you'll only get a VFR type interface, ie, youget the option of calling Ground, not Clearance Delivery. February 23, 201214 yr Jack, I have the same thing happen. I've developed a pattern as to how I start my flights so I don't forget to add the flight plan before I hit the FLY button. Every once in a while though...
February 23, 201214 yr Commercial Member You need to save the flight after loading the flight plan before you restart Vox. You don't have to restart the flight. Michael Cependa Developer Aerosoft DC-8
