Nostalgia Flight1DC9

Featured Replies

Hi all,On getting a headache trying to figure out the PMDG MD-11.I decided to revisit an old plane, Flight1's DC-9. More headaches, on starting, i.e Cold start, non stop beeping alarm. Doesn't seem to matter what I get up running , APU Air con nothing short of starting the Engines seem's to clear it.As for starting the engines, that is also hit and miss, more times miss and I usually end up using CTRL-E to fire them up.The next major problem is cabin pressure. cannot make head nor tail of the instructions regarding this control. For e.g what is the purpose of the Climb-Valve open , Descent -valve closed lever adjacent to the throttles and the climb rate adjustement control. All this started because I was about to purchase the Maddog version, when I noticed on their forum the developer was contemplating upgrading the VC. As the VC appears to be a debatable issue on the present offering, at the price, I thought I'd wait for some progress on the upgrade.Regards JohnT

HelloIf the Maddog's developer says he has started updating the VC you could be sure of a very long wait.If he has only mentioned "contemplating" an update, well I am not sure I have that long left in this life.

His loss then - not paying Megabucks for an old offering with unusable VC. Fallen for that too many times lately lolRegards JohnT

What's you problem with the MD-11? In the sense that I mean - do you need any help?
