February 28, 201214 yr Hey guys,Basically I had some issues with my PC and am unable to OC my CPU past stock, but really want to get back into FSX and the NGX 737.My specs areCore i5 760 2.8ghz4gb ddr3 ramgtx 560tiusing these addons..uk2000 airportsrex, gex, utxI am going to turn traffic off completely, including road traffic, airport traffic and aviation traffic so I have a completely static world. With mid settings, will I get good FPS?Thanks
February 29, 201214 yr What do you call good?FSX is about smoothness not FPS count. Your hardware should give you good performance at a reasonabley high settings. Check out this approach to configuration to get better results. http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/30796-why-i-get-50-fps-in-fsx-and-you-might-not/ Paul Smith.

March 1, 201214 yr Look at your settings carefully, I have the same system near as dammit and I achieve 30fps everywhere.WycliffeI have checked my settings pretty often and it's really the best I can get out of it. But for sure it are the addons which are doing it. Since I installed REX my FPS are so low. But deleting (and reinstalling) doesn't help so I've given it up... Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!
March 1, 201214 yr Try getting a stronger processor, like i5 2500K, plus a new motherboard. That i5 760 is quite weak...And as everyone says. It's all about smoothness. You see my system specs? Quite good aren't they? Getting 30-60 fps. Is it 100% smooth? No, above add-on scenery I get some occasional microstuttering. This is how FSX runs, but high MHz/low latency RAM, can reduce this quite well... It won't improve FPS, but there will be a difference in smoothness, trust me.
