March 1, 201214 yr I built and have many hours in a real RV-6 (conventional gear). The flight model is very very close to the real thing!1. They are very difficult to get slow.2. With the electronic flap option installed, there are no notches. Counting in your head and looking is best way to judge.3. They are very light on the controls. I flew with thumb and two fingers. If anyone has questions, I will do my best to answer them. How great to have a plane in here that you fly in real life, with a good flight model as well. Appreciate your comments. I fly a Cessna SkyCatcher and would love to see it show up in Flight.
March 3, 201214 yr A question for Juicehead:After a few disastrous landing attempts in the RV, I tried coming in a bit high, forward slipping and easing back on the stick, letting the airspeed and altitude drop to an appropriate level, then straightening out for the touchdown, using a bit of throttle if necessary to avoid coming down too hard. Would this technique be appropriate in your real-world RV? It has helped me get into some of the rougher dirt strips in "Flight." I have noticed, incidentally, that twisting the joystick to simulate rudder input works far better in "Flight" than it does in FSX or FS9. Edited March 3, 201214 yr by lwestdal
