March 2, 201214 yr Hi Guys, I have recently purchased voxatc 6, and as i am in Australia I enjoy flying out of Hervey bay. The pronunciation of the airport name by the vox voices is driving me nuts. Is there a way of changing the text so they might pronounce this a little better. I have tried to do this on the ' Procedure Pronunciation Editor' but with no luck. I purchased the Ivona Voice ' Nicole' (aussie voice) but she is worse, and prounces it ' Herv Bay' . Any help would be fantastic. cheers.Steve.
March 2, 201214 yr I can't help you, but am interested in the answer too. EHAM, Schiphol airport is also pronounced incorrectly. Ivona says "sjifwhole" instead of "skipwhole". Eric [FSX on Windows7 64-bit]
March 2, 201214 yr It's quite easy, go to control panel->Speech Recognition->Text to Speechselect the voice that you want to update and then click 'settings'under 'Lexicon' and the 'exceptions' tab add change 'Schiphol' to 'Skipwhole' and apply etc. There's a detailed explanation in the Ivona help under 'Pronunciation Improvement - Lexicon'Paul Paul Dumke
