March 2, 201214 yr friends, I know there are various colours of this question around here but maybe we can have for those like me 1 post how to install the hawaii expansion pak? I bought. I downloaded it maybe 16 times. it says installed in the windows live marketplace. but it never shows up in flight?! whenever I click on the other island I am asked to redownload. which I then do/did couple of times. so how the *&§$ did you make flight recognize that the pak was indeed installed? and yes, I AM logged into live when flight is running.any help is appreciated. too bad that MS does not have a forum for support of flight, they seem to rely on avsim. their FAQ is not helpful here.thanksphil Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
March 2, 201214 yr When I downloaded it, the other islands on the map were still greyed out. There is a small yellow or orange arrow over one of the other islands that you have to click to complete the download. Hope that helps. SJED
March 2, 201214 yr It should have installed automatically, and if you where in flight, a message “New Content …” should have appeared on the bottom of the screen.May I suggest you go/start your local GFWL Marketplace Client -> Sign in -> Downloads and see if it installed correctly?(It should show a "Delete" button on the right side)If it was a bad install, You can try to reinstall it by clicking "Delete" (it will only remove it from your hard drive) and after that you should see a "Download" button sou you can reinstall it.I have also heard people having trouble with this: So check your router, your cookies and user account control settings. March 2, 201214 yr Author it did show the message 'new content avaiable' but when I click on the map it keeps saying 're-download' and then I can download over and over again.which cookie settings? did not change anything after my Win7 standard installation. router is fine with ANYTHING else, why should it him? annoying! March 2, 201214 yr Author I guess it will take a while, if I remember correctly its > 900 mbI know it takes long. But the issue is that the marketplace app tells me it is installed whereas in Flight it still says downloading. March 3, 201214 yr Moderator I continued my flight while the Hawaii Adventure Pack was being installed. When I got to Hilo, the airport was just there waiting for me to land.I didn't pay any attention to what was going on in the background while I was flying, so I really don't know what to suggest. Fr.
