March 6, 201214 yr Hi guys, I am currently trying to complete my first ever repaints in flight simulator, Its been quite a challenge, and a very fun experience... to be honest, I'm hooked, Ive always viewed aircraft repainters as a talented elite in the FS community and I certainly would like to be part of that. I have started with the PMDG NGX and its very user friendly paint kit, however as a beginner to both repainting and Photoshop, many things are still quite unclear to me. I dont know how experienced anyone here is when it comes to repainting the NGX, but my observation is that the painted aircraft in the sim IMHO is too "Shiny" or reflective, This sheen IMO does not look to good especially if you want a slightly 'weathered' or beat up look. I understand that this may have something to do with the Alpha layer? Richard
