Any 200/ER 300 Planned?
I never said it was wrong, just calling it as I see it. To believe otherwise is just plain naive.

Any 200/ER 300 Planned?
Based on the sales of the 200LR LMAO! Capitalism at its best: release the least desirable model first that so that you have to purchase it in order to purchase yet again the other more desirable derivatives.

A new (NGX) version of the wonderful MD-11
Not enough market interest for a new MD-11, probably true... but WHY on earth would they make a DC-6???

777 Flaperons
I never noticed that, I always thought that it was the PF making control inputs for crosswind, here is a video I recorded last year on my way back from NY. http://youtu.be/zBIyzH1gm30

PMDG Fuselage shine
Hi guys, I am currently trying to complete my first ever repaints in flight simulator, Its been quite a challenge, and a very fun experience... to be honest, I'm hooked, Ive always viewed aircraft repainters as a talented elite in the FS community and I certainly would like to be part of that. I have started with the PMDG NGX and its very user friendly paint kit, however as a beginner to both repainting and Photoshop, many things are still quite unclear to me. I dont know how experienced anyone here is when it comes to repainting the NGX, but my observation is that the painted aircraft in the sim IMHO is too "Shiny" or reflective, This sheen IMO does not look to good especially if you want a slightly 'weathered' or beat up look. I understand that this may have something to do with the Alpha layer? Richard

Aircraft Repaint Help,
having a glass bottom plane might not be a bad idea for reef spotting from the skies above the Caribbean. I think you might have been right :( :( I went back and flipped all layers carefully problem seems to have been solved. I believe that I might have been flipping th epainted layer before i flattened it , and not flipped the layer below it. Steve thanks for replying yes, I downloaded the Nvidia plugin yesterday, I use CS3. And I have since let it do the flippin´ for me, I think my problem was not being methodical, and patient, i didn't realize that i did not flip the second layer. Anyhow, thanks again, ill post a pic of the finished product this weekend. One thin I havent figured out is, how to use the window blanks, I need to block off four windows, I tried moving the respective blank window layers above the window line layer, but no windows were blocked.thank youRichard

Aircraft Repaint Help,
This is my first time ever repainting an aircraft, and in the process taught myself how to barely use photoshop. I had a feeling I was in for some nasty little surprises when I finally loaded the textures into the sim. I am getting this effect as seen in the pics below, I am at my wits end , and I just cant figure it out, I have made sure that I cropped and resized , flipped vertically... etc. can any experienced repainter please here nudge me in the right direction? Your help will be greatly appreciated.Kind regards,Richard Shawthe good side:

Question in making a video.
Matias, I had a look at some of ur videos and they are very nice, I now subscribe, Ive never really made a night time video, so I cant really suggest anything aside from the obvious about tweaking your light settings in Vegas. I also use Vegas but have not encountered the problem. Ill make a night Video soon so I;ll see what its like keep em coming and subscribe to my channel (CKY139).

Video "Caribbean Four Five Eight" - a PMDG NGX VATSIM adventure
Thanks Willi, that was my intetion exactly .... I always try to encourage all my FS friends to fly in VATSIM. I always appreciate criticism, as a result it I have finally printed checklists, so I don't forget things like Engine start switches to CONT before takeoff at least. I have since learnt that it is the second fuel pump on the left tank as you pointed out that feeds the APU. I understand the apprehension to to join VATSIM, but once you start you just don't go back to offline flying (at least me)- not for all the pretty AI in the world!

Video "Caribbean Four Five Eight" - a PMDG NGX VATSIM adventure
All my flights are "recorded" with FsRecorder; I ussed FRAPS to capture the video and EZdok world walk camera (freeware) for the external camera angles. Thanks, I always thought that probe heat ought to be turned off f in order for more load for engine start... no need for it at that point as we are in the tropics.... but I could very well be wrong. Daniel, thanks for the info, Its also highly unrealistic to fly a 737 single pilot as we all do. Most of my procedures are done from memory as I always my company always forgets to provide me with normal checklists and they seem to be too cheap to provide me with a co-pilot. As any good sim-pilot I take many shortcuts . All those light switches are waaaay over on the co pilots side so that's his Job!... not my problem if he forgets to turn them on.As for the landing light operation I believe it would depend on company policy, I am aware that at Caribbean Airlines at least they only use the retractables at night, preferring the outboard for daytime ops. A departure from TTPP usually involves crossing the active before proceeding to the holding point, so all my lights save for the landing lights are on before i get to the threshold.I am aware that the APU operates from a certain tank either left or right or centre requiring the respective pump to be on... but I could never remember which.... I keep forgetting to find out, but fuel does magically seem to arrive at my APU with them all off... I guess I've been spoiled lol.I mostly fly in the Caribbean on BWA routes, but I fly just about everywhere there is good ATC and traffic and challenging airports. Thanks! Thanks, I'm using LatinVFR TTPP, Tropicalsim TAPA and Tileproxy (excellent freeware). Thank you,Richard Shaw

737ngx manuals etc, etc,
All of the simulated features you speak of were available on the original PMDG 737NG relaeased about 7 years ago.
-
A 737NG just went down :(
Any PMDG driver should duly note that its pretty much impossible to not notice that you are coming to land at "Vflaps up " or higher... the difference between that and Vref 40. is usually in the order of 55-60kts Caribbean Airlines Procedure has traditionally dictated Flaps 40 max reverse into GEO... so highly unlikely that they landed with flaps up...

The Ultimate PSS 777 FDE Tweak
Hi, Ive been reading through this thread for some time, and its been quite helpful in getting my merge up and running. The plane flies beautifully and works as it should from the 2D panel, but flying it in the VC is a little challenging, because all of the interaction with the auto flight has to be done through the 2D panel. For example, flicking the FD switches and the the AP switches has no effect whatsoever in the VC, it all has to be done from the 2D panel. also, changing the heading value on the FCU produces no visible change on the NAV rose display. (the dashed magenta line does not move). Is this an inherent compromise of flying this merge or am I doing something wrong?Kind Regards, Richard Shaw

The New 737NGX PMDG sounds
In my experience, thats the first modification I make to every payware package I buy, quite frankly most developers dont put that much effort into the engine sounds, I wouldn't blame them as IMHO its better to stick to technical realism. The original PMDG 737 has pretty lame sounds as far as engines are concerned and and the groundroll sound is just awful, but the basic gaugue sounds like avionics cooling fans and pitch trim wheel are quite nice. Id say that at least 80% of the aircraft I have bought have some unsatisfactory aspect in their sound package (In my opinion), but It doesnt bother me one bit, because there is so much good freeware sound available, I use Patrick Cramers excellent 737 CFM56-7 freeware sounds in my NG. There are a couple aircraft addons that have amazing sounds, but then again many of those specialize in eye candy and "ear arousal". It would be nice If NGX had a 100% satisfactory (for my tastes) soundpack out of the box, but then again I wouldnt care if it didn't, and I'm 80% sure Ill tweak something (based on experience), though i would like to hear some innovaive gauge sounds and cockpit environment sounds and hope that it would focus on the sound environment as heard on the flight deck and not as heard from seat 6A (for those who like TSS sounds), but PMDG being what it is, I highly doubt they would commit such a 'crime' Keep up the Excellent Work Richard Shaw
