In the livery downloads page it says a * next to a livery means that "this particular livery has a fully accurate and verified airline options configuration included".

I'm just wondering where the data for the Delta options came from?

I had a look at airliners.net (yeah I know, it's not the best source of current information...let's stop the flames before they come, thanks) and their most recent cockpit shot of a Delta 737-800 flight deck is from 2008...so 4 years old.

The setup in 2008 was much different from what comes with the Delta livery installer. Most noticeably the fuel indicator was the round dials version, there weren't any range rings on the ND, there wasn't the small TCAS circle around the aircraft icon, and the AoA dial was in the top right corner of the PFD.

I'm not saying the options that came with the livery installer are wrong! I'm just asking where the data is coming from because it seems like a lot has changed for Delta's flight deck config since 2008.

I suppose they come from reliable sources (i.e. maintanance crew, crew in general operating in any way shape or form, or a pilot).

Looks like they slowly started changing options from 2008 to 2012.

I can't reveal the person who is the source obviously, but I'm 100% positive on it - this person works for Delta and had access to the exact aircraft we painted.

Each aircraft can have a specific configuration. Check the registration number when comparing at airliners.net.

A related question....what happened to the Ryanair Paint + config options. A couple of weeks ago it had a star... now it does not
