  1. I have the same problem if I leave the "Disable turbulence effects" unchecked. Make sure you have this option checked when using any PMDG aircraft. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Close FSX, go to AppData/Local/Microsoft/FSX and delete both folders: Shaders and Shaders10.
  3. It was working for me too, but I today I noticed 13.11 beta will cause stutters when hovering the mouse cursor over displays, buttons, knobs, switches etc with PMDG 777 - even with the latest FSUIPC version. So I rolled it back to 13.4.
  4. I find the voltage readings from CPUZ very unreliable with my Gigabyte Z68. Instead, I use easytune. The voltages shown are much lower and imho more accurate.
  5. If this happens only with egyptian ADs, it's probably related to scenery. Try an airport far from those you have addon sceneries or AFCADs. If it happens worldwide, what might help: - Deleting logbook.bin or renaming it logbook.binbak - Rebuilding fsx.cfg - Checking memory frequency, timings and voltage - Checking if your PC is capable to run fsx with current settings.
  6. Do you confirm Aero was active before running the .bat?
  7. Will it crash when selecting a stock airfield? Some info from event viewer could be useful.
  8. A good start would be to use FAA preferred routes: http://www.fly.faa.gov/rmt/nfdc_preferred_routes_database.jsp Then you may take a look at http://flightaware.com/statistics/ifr-route/. There you'll find the last flight plans used in the U.S. For outside the U.S., i usually use http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/, along with vRoute and http://skyvector.com/ To find the correct SID/STAR to be used is a little tricky. The easiest way is to look for the first or second enroute fix and see if there's any procedure whose name matches it. If you don't find nothing like that, you might have to take a look at all procedures to make sure which one is the right one. Or; If you flight online, you might want to check the ARTCC webpage. They usually provide tons of info for beginners. Charts: U.S.: http://www.aeroplanner.com Europe: http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/eadcms/eadsite/index.php.html A bunch of other countries: http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/asp/ais.asp?idl=uk Or you google 'Vatsim <country>' and you'll probably find some too.
  9. AntiAlias=0; no InjectSMAA http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16766640/AA%20OFF%20INJECT%20OFF.BMP AntiAlias=0; with InjectSMAA http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16766640/AA%20OFF%20INJECT%20ON.BMP AntiAlias=1; no InjectSMAA http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16766640/AA%20ON%20INJECT%20OFF.BMP I think InjectSMAA gives a slightly better AA than the internal one. How do you think those images compare to the result you guys have been getting? I'm still not 100% satisfied.
  10. [PANELS] QUICKTIPS=0 -> to 1 People usually don't recommend using it with Nvidia. Not sure why.
  11. I must be blind or something. Try renaming logbook.bin to logbook.bin.bak
  12. No idea what the cause might be, but have you already tried deleting fsx.cfg?
  13. Not sure if the modification are exactly the same, but Paul has updated the pinned .doc to include a rain fix. I'll watch that video later to see if there's any difference I could try. Thanks for posting this.
  14. It's not just about uptime/downtime ratio, but also about maximum downtime lengths. It'd prefer a 95% uptime with 2-hour maximum downtime to a 99,5% uptime with a 12-hour maximum downtime. We should judge not only the capacity to maintain servers stable, but also the ability to quickly fix unpredictable issues.
  15. That's great! Thank you, Paul!
