You don't need to change the whole OS to English.

 

You only need to set the Speech Recognizer to English - US.

 

This is only if you have Windows Ultimate.

 

If you have a lower version, you'll need to use Vistalizator to switch your OS to English.

 

 

Failing all that, just use the 'Button Control" version... everyone can use it easily.

I'm on Win 7 Pro, so I ran Vistalizator and installed the English language pack, in order to be able to select the English US speech recognizer. Now my question basically was if I can switch back to my German UI after I successfully trained the EN US speech recognition.

You can try it, but I doubt it'll work (99 percent sure).

Hi Bryan,

 

I just completed two flights with my OS language switched back to German (speech recognition still set to EN-US), and "my" Flight Officer seems to have captured my speech perfectly. Great stuff, really!
