CPFlight gear (MCP, EFIS, radios)

John,Well, at the moment, I'm helping with the MCP PRO drivers, that Steve is so generously putting together. It is possible I'll delay getting the CPFlight, but ...Likely I am going to pick up the CPFlight MCP and EFIS real soon. The MCP-EL is out of stock right now, but Claudio said he would confirm when it it back in again. It does look very nice. The danger of course, is that ALL their stuff looks very nice! :( The GF MCP PRO should be easy to sell.Functionally, your setup looks very similar to mine. I use a large central LCD with the TrackIR, and a secondary screen for 2D elements like the CDU. I use a yoke, pedals and TQ though. An MCP sits very nicely on top of the flat topped Saitek yoke. Also, have a second computer networked and WideFS'd in, to provide processing room and more screen real estate. My keyboards are to the side. What is the unit on the left, just beside the keyboard?* Orest

Well, I was debating where to get the PRO or EL version but after reading this thread I think I will go with the EL + EFIS PRO to save me some money (unless one of you can persuade me to get the pro version :)

Is the mountain bracket compatible with the Flight Deck Solution MIP? I hope to be eventually going down that route. If not, I'll contact FDS and get a bracket from them.

Noooo. Hate to break it to you you have to go for the MCP PRO. I have owned both and there is no comparison. The PRO is beautifully constructed the knobs feel great the backlight/buttons etc are all top quality. It is expensive but long term its worth it especially with the time I intend to put in with the 737.

This year I treated myself to the FDS CDU (another masterpiece) + Buttkicker as well and I am one happy chap!!

Plus, you get the auto-cancelling autothrottle switch on the MCP Pro version. So cool

The pro version is definitely worth it

You guys planning to build a cockpit down the line? The cp flight radios look like good quality also but they are a bit pricey at $200 each. The other good thing is they will integrate well.

Have you guys heard of prosimparts.com?

Yes, they are from Belgium. I bought some Ovh panels just to start it, but the OvH Full offer very interesting (including pushbuttons and swithes). Radio Stack with Transponder module are the best manufactured and cheapest that I never seen. They are ready for I/O cards ( ie. OC cards etc.. ). Dahniel is a very nice guy near customer needs oriented.

Actually I'm using GoFlight MCP-PRO (A22)+EFIS (driver by Steve), OC module( SIOC) for Flaps/ Autobrakes and LGear Panel, all status annunciators lights available thanks to PMDG SDK, FSUIPC by Pete.

Is there any way to control the flood lights / back lighting with the prosimparts radios? Cp flight has a light intensity module but I don't see one for prosimparts or opencockpits. I have also heard the OC radio backlighting can oly be set to on or off.
