  1. Then it's not that then Try setting your frame rate to something other than 30 exactly (eg 32) and fly a default plane with no addons. I think there are some combinations of (v2 incompatible) addons that aren't helping.
  2. Limit your frame rate to something higher then 30 e.g. 32 or 33 (read the LM forum for an explanation). Try setting your TrackIR priority to High in task manager. These two things pretty much eliminated microstutters on my setup, which is very similar to the OP's. Some have reported better performance with the latest Nvidia driver, although this may not sort your microstutters, it could be worth trying at some point. It made a big difference on my setup, running Orbx Global and various UK2000 Extreme airports.
  3. I found that setting my TrackIR priority to High in Task Manager pretty much eliminated all of my microstutters.
  4. Definitely.
  5. Good news. Mike, do you know if they are going straight to v2.1 or is it more likely to be v2.05? I haven't been keeping track. Hope this doesn't end up like FSX. It took them a year to get the first patch out! LM seem to be on the ball though at least.
  6. Just read that it doesn't have a proper FMC (no SID/STARS) so I'll wait and see what reviews it gets. The Metroliner is looking like a good option interns of something different.
  7. I seem to be getting better results having it locked, but I have it locked to something slightly higher than a round number (as suggested by LM, in order to minimise stuttering). I usually use 32 or 33. Oddly I got better results in FSX on unlimited, but as we know, they are different beasts. I have nothing locked in Inspector with regards to frame rate. There are so many variables when setting up FSX/P3D2 that there is little wonder that we all have varying success with drivers etc. Sometimes I think it just comes down to pot luck!
  8. Same here. I can now fly UK2000 EGLL Extreme and it not go below 20fps using a certain 737. Getting much higher frame rates in other, smaller aircraft.
  9. Yeah that sucks, which is why I'm not buying into it. I'd rather wait 3 years for PMDG to bring their version out. Anyone tried the Caranado B1900D? It's supposedly v2 compatible.
  10. Anyone tried this out in P3D v2 yet? It looks immense.
  11. Ok, thanks. Just been reading the iFly forum and it appears that there is no upgrade path from the FSX version to the P3D v2 version. Unless I've got it wrong - it all seems opaquely clear... So $95 + ASN to try out the weather radar in p3d is not going to happen...
  12. Looks promising. Is there a P3D v2 specific installer/version of the iFly 737? I have the FSX version, so I don't want to shell out again for a P3D installer. Do we know any details regarding the wx radar? Will it be a purchasable addon?
  13. Thanks for pointing that out, it's still a bit pricey for me, but maybe I'll give it a go at some point.
  14. Yep, a P3D2 only version would make me buy it. As it is I'll probably not bother unless it gets good reviews.
  15. Agreed, if it's just another 'point the installer directory to Prepar3D2' addon, then I'm not really interested. But if it's built from the ground up for P3D then I'd be willing to give it a go. I suspect it isn't though, which is probably why it's bundled with FSX. 16. I'd also like to see better support for hardware, such as the FlyEngravity CDU and other vendors, such as VRInsight. The export of more variables for cockpit building would be fantastic - such as the Electrical System display. To get this working on the VRI Overhead (or any overhead) would be awesome.
  17. I can't believe I'm posting on this subject AGAIN. It's the main reason I haven't been on the forum for nearly two years. All this bashing is just a pointless waste of time. It doesn't change anything and certainly won't get you a free T7 training package. I pre-purchased the Captain's Package and was fully aware of the fact that it would take time to release the videos. It took longer than expected. Not what I would have wished for, but there you go. S*** happens. I have little time these days to fly, so i spend it flying rather than whining. I suggest you do the same
  18. I hope so. I've just bought it. £40 in the UK, so lets hope they add some more content to it. It's worth the money though. From the hour or so I've spent looking throught it, it's very rich in content. The interface is good too and allows you to find things easily. The schematics are plentiful and are high resolution, which makes them easy to read. Very nice indeed.
  19. Wow, I thought it was more like 40 EUR. Still, if they do include the FMC information in the future (i.e. for free) it will be a worthwhile investment.
  20. Bob, I'm also toying with the idea of getting this, though I have his other manuals in paper form so I don't really want to double-up. However, I'm slowly moving over to a paperless cockpit so I'm very tempted. Im sure the ipad version has more content too. I'd also like to hear anyone's thoughts on it.
  21. Hi Chris - please post some pictures of your progress as I'm very interested in upgrading to these parts in the future. What are you using for your MIP? Fly Engravity or FDS perhaps? Good luck with the build.
  22. A cockpit version of the NGX would be awesome. I doubt the good guys at PMDG will make one though as the market isn't there (I would think). However, I would happily pay good money for it!!
  23. Having used LINDA for a few days now I still wish they would support the overhead. This software rocks! It would be nice to have all of my controllers running through this program as it makes programming so much easier! Kudos to Guenter and Artem :drinks:
  24. Thanks for the heads-up Andy :good:
  25. I've just been reading this topic: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/362089-vrinsight-v737-overhead-panel/ ... but I don't seem to be able to post in it... Are there really no plans to support the overhead? I know it is 737 specific, but it would be great to be able to assign functions to some of those switches for other planes (J41, 747 etc), even if it is just things like fuel pumps, APU, Landing/taxi lights etc. Just a thought. It's a lovely bit of hardware and it would be a shame not to use it for other planes. PS: apologies if this has been brought up before, but it would be interesting to see if other V737 users are interested in further support.
