March 10, 201214 yr Sweet disclaimer before I posted by the way, lol. Anyway, I just heard that MS Flight was released and have been reading through some of the threads, but I noticed there is no "Flight" section in the File Library yet. As I recall, FSX had an area in the Library just before it was released, so I guess I'm wondering then, if it's confirmed that there will be no support for freeware/payware developers?P.S. I realize that this is a whole different "beast" than previous FS titles, but at this point I'm trying to figure out just how different it is.Thank you,Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
March 10, 201214 yr Not presently, and what the future will hold either no one knows at this point , or the ones that do aren't talking. For now any additional content will come from MS in the form of DLC. Don B

March 10, 201214 yr Moderator Jeff,In a recent interview, the Lead Project Manager for MS Flight commented that there might be 3PD "in two to three years", depending onMicrosoft's assessment of the market and their inside development time frame.Another factor with 3rd party development is that Microsoft's share would be approx. 30% of the total profits. In addition, the 3rd party developerwould be required to surrender all programming code and intellectual properties for that particular piece of software they create for MS.Also, MS has indicated that they will not be issuing an SDK for Flight; that is critical for any developer to create an add on for Flight.
