Saitek dual throttle help

Featured Replies

Am I able to set each throttle quadrant up for different personalizations? right now I have one for flaps, then I have four for throttle and then one gear. Am I able to then set up a preference for lets say a 2 engine aircraft or do I have to go into fsx settings each time and change it?

using FSUIPC you can create individual control profiles for different AC that load automatically with those planes...

im having trouble with this FSUIPC is that the interface in fsx that allows button and axis assignments?. does it save individual throttle set ups per aircraft on start up or do you need to change. having trouble with saitek throttle quadrants setting up as it seams to default back everytime i exit FSX :Nerd:

I haven't gotten FSX reinstalled yet, but I'd assume that FSUIPC works the same in FSX as in FS9. You can set up the controls and axis as you wish for a certain aircraft, and then save that configuration as a profile, I use eg the name "two engined jet" for the profile I created for PMDG737. Once the profile is assigned to a certain aircraft, it will load that profile automatically when you chose that aircraft. You can also assign the same profile to another airplane, so I have assigned the profile "two engined jet" also to LevelD767. Works perfectly!

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT assign your hardware in FSX. It's utterly buggy and non-reliable piece of programming. For reliable and good programming of your controllers, you need registered FSUIPC (please buy it if you didn't already, it's one of THE tools for FSX), and I suggest Linda for some specific functions. You can:Make general assignment which work on every aircraft (examples from my setup: trim, PTT talk on VATSIM, ailerons, elevators, rudder pedals etc... all axes basically, EXCEPT throttles).Make profiles, which you can then save for each livery (unfortunately you have to do it once for each livery, but its a quick click usually when all set up), which are specific to that aircraft - my profiles are for instance Boeing 737, Boeing 747, Boeing 757/767 (thought it doesn't really differ from 737), Single Piston Prop, Turboprop etc... name them as you like.My profiles are customized for ONE thing only - throttle assignments and engine cutoff switches.Due to Profiles, I can also assign custom made Lua plugins for MD11, since that one needs a pause between idle reverse and full reverse...Basically, all that you would ever need is possible, and that reliably.Besides, Pete, the maker of FSUIPC, managed to prevent g3d.dll crashes on many occasions, so if nothing else, that is alone worth the program. One the other note, with Linda, you can program things like NGX Autothrottle Switch Toggle, to have it on one button. Same with AP. Pretty cool program. And that only with a mouseclick. Now run, get it (if you didn't already), and you won't regret it!Same goes for original poster.

FSUIPC are there some simple tutorials on how to set up FSUIPC an lindaDo not, I repeat, DO NOT assign your hardware in FSX. It's utterly buggy and non-reliable piece of programming. How do i delete all the assignments ? :Nerd:

Manually. Delete those that you don't need.I did following:deleted all joystick assignments manually - you enter each joystick, and go through the list. each time when on the end of the list, close with OK, then reopen and go the list again. when you shut down and open the fsx again, go back again and do it all over. you do that process until every axis or a button in every controller, including keyboard, mouselook, mouse as yoke, whatever there is from the pulldown menu, is gone and done.deleted all unnecessary assignments manually - you know which ones you use. unassign all others. manually.since i have ezca - i deleted everything from views. my complete viewing system is controlled by ezca and fsuipc (mouselook)yes, its a process, but once done, save your standard.xml and be done with it. if fsx ever recreates assignments, i can copy my standard.xml over it and again have my config.but... if you are lazy, you can have mine. :)

wow good advice off to thailand tommorrow for work ............so will do in a bout a months time.........i have been playing around and thats sounds the safest way. Ive worked out how to get linda oprating control and installed on main rigcheers much appreciated.ECZA ?????? :Nerd:
