The Map

Featured Replies

I was wondering if someone could help with this. In Free Flight, I have no problem bringing up the map. But in missions, say, a freight one, my "co-pilot" will say something like "we're low on fuel, better bring up the map and find a place to get fuel." Well, the map doesn't come up in missions. Am I doing something wrong? Or, is this a "feature."

It's not you. The map doesn't come up. Would rather have access to the map and no destination marker, myself.Mike

No, the map does not come up during missionsThere are a couple MAPS posted here today, download and print them for reference.Here is a good one: http://forum.avsim.n...-no-more-m-key/Lets hope in the future they include some Jeppesen maps and charts, and remove the destination marker when possible.

Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

The map is only available in free flight. I guess that's a "feature."Best to plan your trip before you take off, and use the top down view if necessary.Watch your fuel gauge closely (there's a 3 gallon unusable reserve if I remember correctly) and don't worry too much about the copilot. I can fly a lot farther than he thinks I can, especially if I lean the engine to the point that it just runs well.Hook

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

This is a bit of an oversight. I don't see why we can't have a map during missions, they just have to disable the teleport feature.
