March 29, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Jason,Pretty funny....:D The pic of the 172R is from our real world training sister company Flight 1 Aviation Technologies.Flight 1 Aviation Technologies is a supplier to the training market that offers customized training solutions to the industry. The training industry is a very specific market that we design for, and does not typically cross over into the entertainment realm.F1 Tech paks consist of extremely high definition training devices which not only include the aircraft, panel and systems, but very unique and comprehensive tools suites designed for training. Our upcoming 441 Conquest for the entertainment crowd will show glimpses of the high definition work we are doing..And to Pieter... you bet we are commercial. Regards,Jim Rhoads
March 29, 200422 yr > And to Pieter... you bet we are commercial. Yup, that I knew... that's why I wrote my comment - excellent stuff, I must add! I regularly peek "in there" at the site... Our flight school, however, concentrate on the real thing - down here we do stuff the hardware way most of the time. ;-) All I said of course not inflammatory intended, but moreover, I still find MSFS and products still just that wee bit unreliable to make my life depend on it for training.Pieter
March 29, 200422 yr Hey Jim,In any case it a very attractive panel!! I just got excited becasue I was pondering the idea of F1 doing a drop dead gorgeous C-172. I'll buy that for a dollar.....man I watch too much TV.In any case it looks very good. And I am looking forward to the 441, that is one pretty bird!!! http://www.forefrontgrp.com/jayssigsmall.jpg"There is an art . . . to flying. March 29, 200422 yr problem with RXP is that they're all about hypermodern superduper expensive IFR kit like the Garmin panelmounted GPS units.Nothing like oldfashioned navigation using NDBs and VORs only (and the Mk.1 eyeball enhanced with Mk.2 glasses)...
March 29, 200422 yr Hi Jim,This is excellent. When will F1 have this product for sale? Thanks,Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
March 29, 200422 yr good point! actually, the problem with RXP is that they're all about hypermodern superduper expensive IFR kit you probably either just dream of and thanks to RXP have a chance to be able to "fly" it at a very small fraction of the cost (not even the cost of 1 real hour flight on a C152...), or, that you already have in your real aircraft at the local FBO, for which few (if not none) CFI is able to help you learn with, and for which 20 hours minimum to start mastering them is too expensive in a real aircraft...and the real problem is that they are so good in what they simulate, that you quickly gets addicted to the full product line!Sure, nothing like the old fashion navigation using NSBs and VORs but this is exactly what they are about! isn't it great technology and economy allows you to sample what is becoming more and more standard equipment in many flight schools and get proficient in using them, for the price of a DVD and a Starbuck coffe? (well in North America at least). And do you know you can also turn off the avionics when they are no longer needed for you navigation :-) To each is own!In any case and to follow up on Geofa's post, I think one interesting mention is on Reality XP web site:===================================================================Reality XP is one of the leading provider of Avionics Simulators and Solutions for the general and business aviation training market. The company has undergone a significant transformation from being primarily a supplier of simulation software to a provider of integrated training solutions. As a training provider, Reality XP builds on its leading edge technology, expertise and partnerships to assist businesses and individuals for their training needs, and to offer computer-based product familiarization and training programs.====================================================================Rest assured some interesting products, following the recent "a first for FS" onboard weather radar, will be released for the Aviation Training, and the FS enthusiast...Hope this helps!
