March 15, 201214 yr OK.. In VC, while approach to land, the runway is dead center on screen. Right? But I am using two monitor setup.. which means the bezel is dead center and the runway is on the bezel.I tried shifting my sitting position, (Ctrl-Shift-Enter (or Backspace) and I am able to shift my sitting position. I was hoping now the runway would appear relative to my sitting position...either to the left or right (of the bezel). But the darn runway remains dead center yet again. What do I need to do so the runway apprears left of center of the screen? And no, Yawing aircraft is not the right answer. :)Any ideas?Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
March 15, 201214 yr What do I need to do so the runway apprears left of center of the screen?A third monitor comes to my mind...While maneuvering in VC with the eyepoint, You only move the VC in front of You, not the scenery outside as far as I remember. Do You have EZCA? I guess it can be fixed with this, but cannot confirm right now. Bartłomiej Ender
March 15, 201214 yr Author What is EZCA? Let me google for it Ah EZDOkYeah..I was going for the 3rd monitor. But I have to give up hope on nvidia ever providing for a single card 3 monitor function. And Tripleheadtogo doesn't look like they plan to come up with a higher resolution 3 monitor solutionATI has given up on DX9 textures. So there is no good three monitor solution.I actually like the 2 X 1980 X 1200. Its totally sufficiant front view. Its wide enough and that too without the fisheye distortion I have seen some people using three monitor setup. I can't stand the side view stretch in the three monitor setup. Its just ugly. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
March 15, 201214 yr This seems like it would only be an issue on very, very skinny runways, correct me if I'm wrong. I've run with two monitors before, killed my fps so I just use the second one for tools, tracking and gps now, but I don't ever remember encountering a problem where the center line was that far over. Even in a jet, the middle wheel would be only a few feet to the right of where the PIC is sitting. Could try setting your eyepoint back a little, looking to the right just a few degrees would solve it without compromising your peripheral too much.
March 15, 201214 yr You could go into the aircraft.cfg file (open it in "Notepad") and look for [Views] eyepoint = 31.852, -1.64, 4.75 (just key Ctrl+F and type in "eyepoint") and play with those numbers after making a backup aircraft.cfg file.I know the last number is the height and means 4-3/4' from the centerpoint of the aircraft. The other two numbers will be the ones that you need to experiment with. I'm not sure which will move you to the position that you want.Every time you make a change, select "Save" and you will have to reload the aircraft to see what all you just did. Robert Yunque
