Question about B737 and CRJ700 on FSX?

Featured Replies

Hello, Dudes!First I request you to look at these pictures.Boeing 737737cockpit.jpgCRJ 700crjat20000ft.jpgI usually use Autopilot to on an Aircraft. I fly mostly CRJ 700 and This is what I do to fly this:Turn NAV to GPSTurn Flight Director ONTurn NAV ONAdjust Speed and AltitudeThen after take off I turn ON the Auto pilot, Speed and Altitude Switches ON:So plane smoothly goes where I want. It remains very straight. But at B737 I do same thing but it get STALL and sometime times straight go to sea.You can see both cockpit images. So can you tell me what error am I doing in B737? It should go straight as CRJ.I don't work with Course and Heading. Please take a glance at this issue.Regards,

The settings on the MCP of the 737 do look good. Nothing wrong. You could mybe fly a bit flower thn 300+ kts while under 10.000ft. 250Kts are allowed below 10.000ft.So you say that the 737 doesn´t fly the plan on the GPS? Is that correct?

Best regards, Steffen

In the 737 pic, you have the speed set to 150 kts but you are flying at 319 kts. I'm not sure what is going on there but the should be about the same. You are at 500 ft and the AP is set to 1200 ft and the nose is in the air but the vspeed is 0. It looks like you are in a stall or something. Try this:Take offAt about 1000 ft, engage AP, engage Nav and GPS.Also engage AT and set it 250 kts. Once you are above 10,000 ft, bump it up to 300kts. Once you are above 28,000 ft, switch to mach and set it at .72. maintain a vertical speed of 2000 fpm. This should be fine for both aircraft.

Hi, Here's correct use of the autopilot as supplied by FSX. Note that one such as Wilco or PMDG will be more complex. While on the ground, set the Flight Director and Auto-Throttle Arm to on. Set NAV/GPS to GPS (unless flying a VOR-VOR course). Listen to ATIS. When you here the runway in use, set it's heading in the heading box. Select heading hold. After getting IFR clearance, set the assigned initial altitude in the altitude window. Select ALT hold. On default aircraft this automatically sets the VS to 1800. Change it as desired. For speed, set it to V2+15. Turn on the Yaw-Damper. After take-off, all you have to do is press the SPEED hold, and CMD, to get AP flying. Remember to increase speed to 210-250 passing 1000 AGL. When told, "Resume own navigation", or "Proceed on course", switch from heading hold to NAV mode. At 10000' MSL, set the speed to 280-330, and as you reach your cruise speed (.74 - .81), set it to MACH hold. Remember to adjust VS as necessary to maintain the desired speed. Hope it helps,

Thanks,

Thanks for answer from all.Now another question is about landing B737 the plane. At CRJ700, for landing, I had some assumptions which are following and worked.Just 3nm away from runway I come at 1200ft altitude and 150knts speed and turn off Autopilot then I extend full flaps to 90 degrees. So plane itself own tries to come down slowly and reaches at the right spot of runway, then after landing I turn off the throttle plus flaps and put Brakes and plane stops after a while. This all is my assumption for CRJ700, so what this can be at B737?All means is that air plane itself own slowly slowly starts come down from 1200ft altitude at 150knots speed after turning off autopilot at flaps full or 90 degrees.
