March 16, 201214 yr Is there a way to get RC to read a saved flight plan in REX? I presently get a "run time error 9". If i can't, it's not the end of the world as i can read the file in the FSX flight planner with REX weather engine input. Thanks for your help with this.
March 16, 201214 yr RC only can read .pln files in the format of FS9 or FSX no matter where they are stored. You have to browse to that area but if not consistent it can crash RC. It remains best to open the .pln file from you Flight Simulator Files or Flight Simulator X Files folders under your documents folder. We have had experiences where some weather apps modified the .pln file changing the format to cause a problem. As you state, create your plan in FS or another format complying planner and then send it to REX or other application for weather processing.

March 18, 201214 yr Author You can import a flight plan from FSX into REX. Textures are added and weather processing, then, and i'm not sure why, REX requires you to save this plan. It can be found by browsing to the REX folder. If i try to get RC to read this file the controler page loads information, but when trying to connect i get the run time error 9. I'm not sure that even if it could read it that it would be any different.
March 18, 201214 yr Make up a short plan with just a few waypoints that can be processed by REX and save the REX version also. Then paste a copy of both plans in a reply here so they can be compared.
