Captain Sim 757 Ver 2.2

Featured Replies

HiI have just bought via simmarket CS 757 today, the problem I seem to be having is that when some switches are clickable ( ie I can move them as normal) but some switches like Seatbel Signs, when I select to ON or AUTO or OFF, the switch doesn't move, but when I click external view by pressing "S" on Keyboard, and then I hear the Seatbelt Signs and then when I go back into the Cockpit, the switches have moved to the posistion I wanted it in, basically in that respect I have to keep going to external view, then back into Cockpit to see changes. The APU Selecter, well when I click onto it I get the arrow with the +/- but when I click to do something nothing happens, its as if the APU selector knob isn't there. The MCP Panel, I can click to select HDG, but cannot click to select Speed Numbers or Alt, it basically doesn't do anything. This is a huge dissapointment, but sadly cannot get a refund with it, not sure what else to do, I have tried to remove and Re install but still the same problem.I am running FS2004Window XP MediaRegards and thanks

Hello,I don't think there is anything wrong. The basic rule with this aircraft is that all switches which can be turned either clockwise or counterclockwise, should be handled accordingly with the mouse: So if you want a clockwise move, click RIGHT , otherwise click LEFT. With regard to the dials of MCP: Move the mouse to the numbers; if you want an increase left click on the right side of the numbers, for a decrease click on the left side.Regards.René

Hi ReneThank you for the reply.Thats just it, the problem I am having is that nothing is happening when I either Right or Left Click, same with the numbers on the MCP apart from the HDG which I can adjust. Not sure what it could be.Thanks

That is weird. Try to load the default Cessna first, switch everything off, then load the 757. There must be a simple solution; I 'm flying this aircraft for years without any problems.Regards,René

I have problems with this plane when I disabled the VC model (to improve my frame rates). Stuff in the cockpit just stopped working. Landing gear lever being one of them.

Try moving your eyepoint forward or move the seat back. There are electronic switches that move the seat back. In my case, the eyepoint is within the prameters of the headrest which prevent you from clicking the switches.

I renneI will try your suggestion and report back around after lunch gmt time. Tumtiddle sums it up well, I have that problem as well, not sure what is chasing that, I have also via ACE removed winglets and VC. I always start FS9 from the default, ie Cessna and from KSEA 34R, but will try shutting ENG down and Power on Default and then give CS 757 a go.Thanks

Tried to start it, loaded fs at defaul flight, then cut engines and batt per to Cessna, then loaded captain sim and still got the same problem, I raised this directly with captain sim and they cancelled my ticket I submitted, very poor customer service, should have just stuck to the reputable devs like PMDG.But if anyone has any suggestion please do feel free to advise, I will be away for a week and will not have Internet access, so might be late in replying in this postThanks once again.

Still not working, I have requested support via Capt Sim, but they simply do not want to help or anything, would appreciate any further advice.Best regs

From Tumtiddle's post and your reply to it, it seems that the origin of the problem is the removal of the VC. I don't know how you did it (ACE does not ring a bell for me), but I once successfully used a method which was published on this forrum some years ago by Col (rtd) Bob Scott. You need a hex editor (free download) for editing the *.mdl file of the aircraft, search for the second occurrence of 00 22 00 39 00 in the file, and change the 39 to 38. Obviously it's wise to make a backup of the mdl file first :(.Regards,René
