Good evening, I am using FSX and own the MDPC Tropicalsim, however I wonder if someone could be kind to signpost me where there is a good freeware Dominican Republic VFR scenery for the entire island that will not effect the existing Punta Cana scenery from Tropical Sim. many thanks

Many thanks Jim for your valuable advice, I believe some files within FSX may have been corrupted so I bit the bullet and did a complete fresh removal and install of FSX, all seems to be working fine with both SP1 and 2 without the need of installing FS Accelerate. Amazing how many addons there are, its taken a long time to re install most add ons, hopefully won't have to do that again.

Thanks Jim, in respect of FSX Acceleration is there a way to remove unwanted aircrafts such as the military jets and some scenery that comes with FSX Accel? When I remove FSX Accel I still get the original issue despite installing both SP1 and 2, I then remove both SP 1 and 2 installing FSX Accel and the problem goes but end up with more space being taken. I guess you cannot have everything but curious as to why FSX Accel corrects the problem but SP2 doesn't

I believe I always has SP2 installed but for some reason I also thought I had FSX Accel too for the SDK, but I just installed FSX Accel and it asked me to remove SP2. Its all working well now but the problem is FSX Accel takes some space within FSX where as SP2 didnt. I just tried and removed FSX Accel and back to square one with the black home screen, I installed SP2 and it installed and then I ran FSX and still the black home screen as mentioned previously, but when I remove SP2 and install FS Accel all ok. Really strange, welcome any thoughts however I thank Jim and anybody else who have trie to help

I install FSX Accler pack and the problem goes away, however when I install SP2 it will not allow me, can I leave SP2 out, but most Addons ask for SP2

It's removed from FSX main folder the only remaining ones are in the main Windows systems, I have placed the FSX disc and tried a 'repair" but still the same problem

That's correct the only file I found was d3d9.dll and I obviously deleted the whole Reshades and FXSweet folder. These were all located within the main FSX directory. The file was d3d9 both dll and text

Evenning, I foolishly installed SweetFX, I then tried to uninstall it deleting the files, each time now when I start FSX I get no actual sim display, please see screenshot, however the engines sounds everything can be heard running just no display. I tired deleting FSX.CFg and let it built another one but no luck. I deleted all my AI traffic and reloaded one by one and I am pleased to say that everything is how it should be (populated) airport, not sure what the exact problem was but I am sure it's one of the culprits on Jim's list, many thanks. On a slightly different note I think the Miami scenery is not as nice as LatinVfr Carribeans sceneries, maybe another developer could look into KMIA in the future. Jake Roberts

Thanks - I did contact the developer who says it is AES compatible but Oliver ignores his repeated requests to add it on the list. I have to say it is very irritating to have to constantly rely on Oliver's credit system, I would prefer to pay a larger price intially to have the full FSX Airport functuality, its like developres such as Level D and PMDG saying you have to buy credits for a bundle of airports to use in the FMC, hardly practicle. I would hope Oliver improves his methods of service delivery to cater for a broader aspects.

Hi Does anybody have any suggestion to a Jeddah Airport scenery that is fully compatible with AES FSX. I am aware of Bdoaviation but I do not believe Oliver in Aerosoft is willing to place it into AES looking at the request lists is seems to have been their a long time and ignored. Thanks

Hi Does anyone know a way to convert the Navigraph charts to PDF, I have cutepdf but I want to download the whole bacth of certain airport, unfortunately if I choose to print I have to do each chart one by one which will take forever. I am suing desktop Navigraph Chart 5, all I want to do is select for example EGLL all the STARS and SIDS in one go and convert to PDF Many thanks J. Roberts
