Automatic callouts via CDU settings

Using the latest version of B77L I noticed whilst setting the appropriate callouts that the options include yes/no/smart

 

Example

 

1000ft options to cycle are Yes/No/Smart

 

What exactly is the smart option in aid of

Hi Jake, easy answer is to open the Introduction document, press Ctrl+F,  type 'smart' and the answer appears almost instantly.

 

Generally, all CDU options are explained in reasonable detail in the Introduction.  I've been involved with the 777 since first beta build and I still occasionally refer to the Introduction.

Now that's being a bit harsh on yourself there, Kyle!

 

The smart callouts I believe only "callout" in certain circumstances, but check the docs as I can't recall exactly which.

Many thanks - I will definitely check the intro doc, it's just I have never seen that option Smart on previous version it's only after I updated to the release last month Jan 2016.
