March 20, 201214 yr Where is my FSX Folder?Running on an i5 Windows 7 / 64 bit.I have been happily simming on FS9 for many years. I do own FSX and have recently installed it on my computer.I have my HD partitioned with FS9 and FSX installed on Drive E. ( not in Program files or x86.)My trouble is I cannot find my FSX folder. Where could it be? FS9 is there. I can fly in FSX by opening it through a shortcut on the desktop. But I need to direct some programmes to the FSX folder (in particular the driver for my CP Flight MCP) but nothing shows for it.When I go to” All Programs”/ Microsoft Games - it only shows FS2004When I go to “Programs and Features” it doesn’t show as being installed. All that shows for FSX is Service Pack 2.I am totally confused. I can access FSX and fly but I cannot find its folder.Any help/guidance much appreciated.Bill
March 21, 201214 yr Right click on your FSX shortcut. Click on properties. It will show you your "target location". That's it. Joe Brown
March 21, 201214 yr By default on Windows 7 it will go to C:program files (x86)Microsoft Games...but as Superglide says, looking at the properties for the shortcut should reveal all! Cheers! Iain
March 21, 201214 yr Author Thanks guys found it. Problem seems to be with the programme I am trying to install. Will research it a bit more thoroughly.
