When I ask my FO to set the Takeoff flaps he doesn't say anything but selects the flap I asked for then says "Takeoff Flaps Set".Wouldn't it be good airmanship to acknowledge the 'requested' flap setting i.e. "Flap 1" then say "Flap 1 set", Thats how we used to do in the RW so there was no chance of selecting the wrong flap position.Glen
