March 23, 201214 yr I'm obviously not understanding this feature. So I've got a bunch of 3rd party high res airports, how may I limit my airport search for them only?If I go to 'search add-on scenery' its all blank in all areas of this menu. None of the airports or scenery show up.How can I limit my airport selection to only list add-on ones?
March 23, 201214 yr That feature is remnants of days gone by and is not used anymore.I believe it is still there because some scenery designed for previous sim versions might show up there.Short of editing the AFD file for all of your addons, to change the country to "addon" or something like that, there is no way I know of to do what you want.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
March 23, 201214 yr Author Ah that makes sense, no wonder that selection never seemed to work or do anything. SP2 should of disabled the feature or something. My FSX is a mess jumble of stuff and would like to organize what I have installed. So how do you guys easily keep track or organize what addon stuff you have installed?
March 23, 201214 yr You could try taking Screenshots of the Library Listings...click & scroll, click & scroll. Until you reach the end of your addon scenery stuff. This is also an handy reference for when you may want to do a reinstall of FSX/FS9 or any other sim. Assuming you have all your scenery in the order that you find acceptable. You now will know what order to install your addons etc. Starting with the highest number first until you reach (1)Will save a lot of messing, moving items up and down within the library listing after doing a full reinstall. Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
March 30, 201214 yr Author So every 3rd party airport that one manually installs into FSX will be listed in the Scenery Library list no matter what?
