March 23, 201214 yr Now that, nVidia has given us multi monitor support with one card (GTX 580), AMD is totally out of my radar. So now the question is which three monitor setup is good for FSX?1) 3 X 24" (I have some reservation with this setup since the left and right screens have the fish eye stretch ...and not sure how best to reduce/get rid of it.2) 3 X 20" (1900x1200). This could be a reasonable compromise. Although I wish I could shove a 24" (1920 x 1200) for the middle monitor. But as of today this is not possible.3) 3 X 30" out of my price rangeHmm... What would you guys like and why?MannyAlhtough this looks awesome too! Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
March 25, 201214 yr You mean the GTX 680? With GTX 580 you need two in SLI. I have a 3 x 24" setup driven by two GTX 570. The fish eye can be correct by setting the right zoom level, by default the zoom is 0.4 which is why you are seeing that effect. Increase zoom level reduces it but will not eliminate it completely. The higher resolution you go to, the more powerful your CPU and video card needs to be. I am thinking of upgrading to a single GTX 680 and IB later this year or next. The immersion is well worth it, but be prepared to lower image complexity. Search for my posts elsewhere for more info on this topic.Regards. March 26, 201214 yr I'd go for the biggest affordable displays, even at the cost of image quality.I've had good 3x21.6'' (5040x1050) and found it difficult to see Duke's, JS41 Crew Alert Annunciation Panels and other small details. Now I do have cheap 3x27" (5760x1080) - I have no need to move my head closer to CAP (TrackIR does this pretty good) and found one nice feature - no problems with greasing (minus 50-80fpm) in GA/gliders (which I take for a ride from time to time) - the display is much bigger giving You more immersion and 'feel' of the plane Bartłomiej Ender
