Configuration for online flyers

Featured Replies

Hi!This is absolutely not a bug or a problem, I just want suggestions=)How do you guys that are flying online on either vatsim or ivao config your fs2crew? Currently I am having the FO coming out of my headset, this creates a possibility that i miss calls from the online ATC, cause for example when doing the approach brief, the fo talks for a minute, and if the ATC calls me during that time for whatever reason its almost impossible to hear:-)So im curious how you handle with this?:-)/Niklas

I do my VATSIM Clearance Before i start FS2Crew, then i do the FS2 Buzz then ask for Push and Start, works well, also if you get an ATC call while doing Preflight push that HM(Hard Mute), As a Director of a VATSIM Facility i don`t mind Repeating Instructions again, i also always Follow my Vocal Instructions to the Pilot with a Text Copy, it helps you guys out if you miss a call.RIck

I'm just now getting comfortable enough with the NGX / FS2Crew combo to try it out on VATSIM.Keep this thread going, I'd like to hear more input on how you guys manage online comms.cheersGreg

My FO voices come from my main speakers. Currently, this is just because my headset is plugged into a different computer where I run squawkbox from. I need another 1/8 cable to route the voice channel over to my squawkbox computer. I actually don't mind it this way as I can mute the FO if I need to quickly.
