March 28, 201214 yr On my FSX where ever water meets land there are big black rectangles flashing all over the coastline.Does anyone know what these are and how to stop them? Thanks Bill, how can I fix the wave animation effect?
March 28, 201214 yr Looks like the texture sheet that the wave animation effect uses is corrupted or missing on your system.
March 29, 201214 yr Perhaps the Gauge Recovery freeware may help? Happy Flying, Clem Wu Beta Tester for OZx, Iris Simulations and Shade.
March 29, 201214 yr Hi there,Not sure if you are running UTX, or if this will help but, if you are running UTX, try this:- exit FSX,- run UTX's configuration utility and then close the utility- re-open FSX and see if that helpedThe black rectangles are indeed supposed to have been the intended shore wave effects that seem in some way to have been corrupted in your installation.Hope this helps, Rusty i7-12700K; GF RTX 3080Ti 12 GB; MSI Z690 MB; 32 GB DDR5 4800Mhz (16x2); 850W 80+ Gold PS; 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD + 2 TB HDD @ 7200 + Kingston 4TB XS2000 USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Ext. March 30, 201214 yr I thought UTX only altered coastlines, not the waves. <unsure>Not really- take a peek at the following screen capture of UTX's configuratin utility wherein wave preferences/options may be selected and chosen:Hope this helps, Rusty i7-12700K; GF RTX 3080Ti 12 GB; MSI Z690 MB; 32 GB DDR5 4800Mhz (16x2); 850W 80+ Gold PS; 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD + 2 TB HDD @ 7200 + Kingston 4TB XS2000 USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Ext.
