Low fuel on job

Featured Replies

Yesterday I took a cargo job. Since the cargo was heavy I took only 20 % of fuel. When near destination I still had about 6 %. Successful landing in military base, just where it was marked with "destination". Nothing happens. Then pop up asking me if I have enough fuel to takeoff or if I'm stuck here (at this airport I couldn't refuel). I was taxiing around to get mission confirmed. Nothing. I took off and left for bigger airport 5 or 6 miles away. Refueled and then return back. Then I get right response and end of mission.Has anyone else had such a problem with low fuel?

The issue is; Some "missions" won't end. Seems to be a trigger problem; already reported to the beta site. Apparently not related to fuel.Your second landing did fire the trigger (on touchdown), thus you were able complete the mission.Do you remember departure airport, cargo type and destination military base?if you do (any), please post it; i'll give it a try and also bump it to the beta site.

Ramón.

Happens to me now and then. Just take off and land again. Nothing to do with fuel.

Has anyone else had trouble completing the last mission, where you take the photographer all over Hawaii?I've tried it twice so far, flew all of it without skipping and back at HiLo Int'l I could not get the music to trigger... taxied over the waypoint, took off and landed from both ends of the runway, no luck.

It worked fine in my case. That was a loooong mission but fun :)Cheers

It has nothing to do with fuel. Your copilot may sometimes verbally criticize you for taking off with low fuel but it doesn't affect the outcome of the mission. I usually land at destination with 2-5% fuel for the sake of the a/c weight. It can be really tricky to take off from those tiny airstrips at 29kt headwind with a Maule that weighs 3000lbs :)I personally never had it happen to me that the mission doesn't end upon landing and taxing to the parking, but my friend that i fly with had it happen to him more than once so it's probably quite random. Hopefully they will fix it.Cheers

Finely I found out problematic airport

I finally found problematic airport destination. It's Ford Island (NALF). Now I have mission with light cargo (chickens). Because I had less fuel than needed I've landed before, than continue to NALF. When landed, nothing happens. I take off 2 times, no success. Then I take off, landed on PHjR, take off again and landed again on NALF. No success. So that's second time that my destination was Ford Island and mission end wasn't triggered.

Well, the field on Ford Island has been closed for years, so maybe the guy who was supposed to pick up the chickens isn't there any more. :D
