Apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum - want sure if multiplayer forum was correct or not.Are virtual airlines still active (Delta in particular) or should I not bother joining at this point? I have only a base installation of FSX at this point (but looking to add 3rd party content) and I've not been able to get signed into Gamespy for multiplayer (I was a paid subscriber of Gamespy many moons ago). Are people using VATSIM fly in multiplayer mode at this point?Thank you,Jas

Yes, most airlines are requiring or recommending pilots to fly on VATSIM or IVAO. Some don't require you to fly online though. Some good ones that I have or am currently flying for include:www.swavirtual.com (easygoing, pretty active)www.airfrontierva.com (FedEx, very active VA, no ACARS software)www.globecargova.org (simulates Atlas and Titan, very realistic operations)

I'll second the Delta VA. Great VA and you are not required to fly online although they have a lot of online special events.

As regards your gamespy id, a lot of virtual airlines are now running their own dedicated servers, which use direct connection via IP address, instead of gamespy (which is unstable anyway). So the loss of your id should not prevent you from accessing a lot of multiplayer environments.
