Hi all, I would like to know if it is possible to load a default (.pln) file into the NGX so the AutoPilot will follow it without having to enter a flight plan manually. I am asking as I fly routes around 45 minutes and it often takes more time to program the aircraft than fly it. Any suggestions welcome.Aaron G.

No. But there are programs such as FSBuild ( that's the one I use, but of course there are others) that do a good job of outputting flightplans in a number of different formats.

So if I create the flight plan in FSBuild I can load it into the NGX by selecting it from the pre-saved flight plans?Aaron G.

I could but I don't have time for that as I am busy so I need a solution of loading a default FS flight plan or creating one in FSBuild and loading it in the NGX.Aaron G.

Yes. You can designate where the PMDG flight plans get saved to (it's usually already set up correctly when you install the program). When they are in the correct folder, they will show up on the flight plan selection list in the FMC.

Yes you can use fscomander as well. Just make sure that you save it as pmdg. And yes you can load .rte flight plans. Ni have at least once.DJuan Carter
