April 6, 201214 yr I just completed a job of 200 miles, everything was perfectly smooth. Landed beautifully, and then tried to taxi to the ramp. The plane got stuck on a building where there was no wall, and I thought I'd have to either skip or abort entirely. I managed to wiggle the plane around and get loose so I could continue, but at the end, it said the passengers weren't happy. I mean, everything I did was perfect. That's just crazy.
April 6, 201214 yr I think this has happened to a lot of us. In my case I clipped a taxi sign at the end of the round the islands photo tour. I finally got off it under full power with the stick right back. There are a number of requests for some sort of pushback and that is now in the Suggestion List. I hope the Flight Team will be able to action it before too long! Jon ------- Microsoft Flight Sim MVP Airport Design Editor FSDeveloper.com
April 6, 201214 yr Getting stuck on invisible walls seems to be the bane of anyone who walks around in first person view. Collision detection with objects is pretty poor, and normally wouldn't be too much of a problem if first person view exploration wasn't possible. But as it is available, jiggling around to try and free yourself from an invisible obstruction can get really tiresome.
April 6, 201214 yr But as it is available, jiggling around to try and free yourself from an invisible obstruction can get really tiresome. Back away from the obstruction facing the same way you went into it. You'll only get stuck if you try to turn around and walk forward away from it. Then, you can get stuck pretty good.
