April 12, 200422 yr What makes the 2nd Generation different? Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
April 12, 200422 yr Lots.Information on the forum [www.panelshop.com] look for the Second Generation information tab on the main page.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/images/DEV.jpg
April 12, 200422 yr anyone have it yet? Looks pretty good to me. The panel looks awesome, or should I say panels?, meaning both versions of the 2d and the vc. billg
April 12, 200422 yr I have it installed :( , I got the update version as I already had the original. All I can say is read the warning on the panel shop web site, this is certainly no 'jump in and fly' aircraft. You have to be PIC, FO & FE so work load can be high, oh and you don't get an FMC :) I can't comment on its flying etc as I only installed it about an hour ago and am currently having a few problems loading the tutorial flight and the RfP support forum does not seem to be open ATM.If you get it Bill be prepared for full involvement :-)
April 12, 200422 yr 1> You're correct, there is no FMC. This is still a 1970's A/C and they weren't used then.2.Support Forum is open and appears to be functioning normally as of 5 minutes ago, did you register to use it (required)?Best Regards,Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/images/DEV.jpg
April 12, 200422 yr Thanks Ed, been registered for ages :-), it must be this stupid NTL connection, or at least their transparent proxies or DNS servers, I've had problems with different sites all day :-mad I think I have sorted the tutorial flight but would be interested to know why I had the problem. It's getting late here in UK so will try the support forum tomorrow, just tried it now and I'm getting 'Can't find server'.Rgds
April 12, 200422 yr If you still have problems, I'll try to keep an eye here and also at FlightSim.com just in case.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/images/DEV.jpg
April 12, 200422 yr I got through ok Vulcan. And took the leap, :-) I'm reading the manual as I wait for my email confirmation, hehe.billg
April 12, 200422 yr Anyone know how long it takes for an email confirmation of an order from Vmax? It's only been a couple of hours but I'm anxious! :-)billg
April 12, 200422 yr That's one that I do not have the answer to; they appear to be getting hammered. They'll get it done.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/images/DEV.jpg
April 13, 200422 yr Too bad that an old FedEx livery is not included with the Cargo version, I would definaly use it for my VFedEx ops.
April 13, 200422 yr Ed, having read, well, browsed the manual, and read the tutorial, I have to say I'm really looking forward to this one.... :-)Btw, it's pretty cool that someone from the development team would be monitoring the boards just after release to try and help with the inevitable questions. Thx!billg
April 13, 200422 yr Just remember, that the real support area for the program is going to be the panelshop website. Lots of help and information there.[www.panelshop.com]Also, I took a look at the Airlines.net to see what the status of the FEDEX livery was; if the aircraft used the PW engines then it would be a candidate for a user repaint if not otherwise avaiable. I found that one of the ex-FEDEX A/C is now apparently part of MK Airlines and that is an available user re-paint.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/images/DEV.jpg
April 13, 200422 yr If you haven't purchased this fine add-on, do so. Between RFP and PMDG737NG, you couldn't ask for anything more.
