That is because you are loading the original model with the original texture mapping. What needs to be done other than creating your own jetway model is to export the .MDL to a .3DS file, load it into gmax and then remap the model in Gmax (then assign a new GUID to it and export as an FSX MDL to be placed with any scenery design tool). If you are unsure of how to do that, there are a ton of tutorials on how to use gmax including a toturial with the SDK.

 

In short your best bet would be to learn a modeling program and learn to design your own jetways.

Indeed, the animations are lost on export to gmax and have to be added again.
