DHC-3 PZL Otter

Featured Replies

I downloaded the DHC-3PZL otter and installed it into my FS2004. I also downloaded the DEAN instrument panel for the round engine. The engine sound is terrific and sounds just like the 1000 HP PZL engine. My problem, in both VC and 2 D modes there are no intruments, A/S ,ALT, Engine instruments for starters are missing . The basic T form of flight instruments for IFR. . The King Avonics package works fine. Also the mouse will not move the throttle, prop or mixture controls.

I like the Wipline float installation I have flow the real A/C in Canada on straight floats out of Warbush and Schefferville.

Would realy like to get the panel square away to enjoy flying this sim

I see this is your first post here. I'll move it to the FS2004 forum for you.

Sincerely,

I am familiar with the plane and know nothing about the panel you refer to.

How about giving us some more specific info about these addons, like where you found them and their filenames.

Joe

I found a file at Flightsim.com named dhc3_dp.zip by Dean Peterson, is this the file?

If so, make sure you copied the contents of dhc3_dp\gauges to ...\FS9\Gauges and not the whole folder.

BTW, I recommend you copy them to PANEL.DEAN instead, that way if you decide to throw the panel away the gauges go with it and don't clutter up your ...\FS9\Gauges folder (unless you want to keep the gauges for other uses).

If you want to use the DEAN panel and have gauges in the VC you will need to copy all the [Vcockpitnn] sections from the original panel.cfg to the DEAN panel.cfg.

That is how I installed this addon and everything appears to work as advertised.

The TPM knobs in the VC are not moveable by the mouse, this is a limitation of the model and has nothing to do with the panel. There is no way to fix that without the original development files and you would have to get those from Mr. Heyart.

Hope this helps.

regards,

Joe
