  1. This is defiantly a PMDG problem. The ATC Box works great on all my other aircraft in FSX Asticou
  2. FAA ATC implemented the Line up and Wait a few years ago. Still confusing to some of us old time pilots Asticou
  3. I am having the same issue with the ATC box going blank during flight. ATC will command an action, turn, descend, climb or clearance for an approach, but I am not able to respond as the ATC box is blank. Startup, taxi, T/O are all working fine. I have cycled the cables head frequencies back and forth, turned all 3 gable heads off but that will not correct the problem. After several attempts by ATC asking me to respond, they end up terminating my IFR flight plan at which time the text comes back into view in the box, and I end up reentering the IFR flight plan all over again. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks Asticou
  4. I am having the same problem. I installed Active Sky on April 14 and it repeats the activation process??? Asticou DJ
  5. Reverse thrust is deployed upon landing and usually stowed around 80 knots to prevent FOD from entering the N1 section. I have backed up C-130's by reversing the props while deployed in Vietnam. Also a great tool for taxing with ice on taxi or runway. Also a great brake saver.
  6. Stan, Have you received your new computer yet?? Also, how many monitors do you plan on using?? I am toying with the idea of added 2 more Samsung 27" monitors to my existing one. Regards, Dale
  7. The long and short of this. Quality control. The assigned FAA PMI for Delta will be looking into this and most likely end up with enforcement action. He already have IOP#1 DJ
  8. Skydrol, not to worry DJ
  9. Stan, I read your first entry regarding Jetline building your new computer and I too made the jump as Jetline is building one for myself with most of the same componets as you have. Greg was great in helping me pick out the best componets for my FSX and FS2004. I am also retired and still enjoy my aviation career that started back in 1964. Now, I am a DAR and issue Airworhiness Certificates to aircraft and rotorcraft. I look forward to many hours of flying the C-130E and the Boeing fleet. We have a saying, if it's not a Boeing, I am not going. Regards, Dale Johnson Retired FAA ASI  Stan, After reading about your new computer, I also took the plunge. Jetline is building one for my hobby with pretty much the same componets as yours. Greg was very instrumental in helping me choose the right componets to ensure smooth running of both FSX and FS2004. I look forward to many hours of flying the C-130E and the Boeing fleet. I am also retired, but in my spare time as a DAR, I issue Airworthiness Certificates to aircraft/rotorcraft that come home from foreign registry. Regards, Dale
  10. Someone in the Delta Maintenance Dept is going to take a hit. It looks like they forgot to install the camlocks and srews for this inspection panel over the flap drive/ aft landing gear trion bearings. Must have been an over night inspection item at Orlando. Asticou
  11. I am having the same problem, "Could not detect a valid Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 installation".and has not returned to work. The veriom FS9 is "9.1.0.40901" and run correctly, both the FS and the MD-11. I also reinstalled the MD-11 and remains the sameI'm going crazy :( Also downloaded and installed, Flight1 FSX/FS9 registry repair tool:http://www.flight1so...stry_Repair.exe to no avail. Reinstalled/repair PMDG MD-11 installation. The load manager still pops up with Could not detect a valid Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 installation. Dale Johnson Asticou
  12. Recently I downloaded the PMDG's 737-880/900 for America and Alaska Airlines for FS2004. When I go to install, an error message appears reading that the PMDG 737 airstair door.bmp file cannot be open. I downloaded the file for a second time from PMDG and recieved the same results. Any ideas?? :( Regards, Dale Johnson Retired FAA
  13. I downloaded the DHC-3PZL otter and installed it into my FS2004. I also downloaded the DEAN instrument panel for the round engine. The engine sound is terrific and sounds just like the 1000 HP PZL engine. My problem, in both VC and 2 D modes there are no intruments, A/S ,ALT, Engine instruments for starters are missing . The basic T form of flight instruments for IFR. . The King Avonics package works fine. Also the mouse will not move the throttle, prop or mixture controls. I like the Wipline float installation I have flow the real A/C in Canada on straight floats out of Warbush and Schefferville. Would realy like to get the panel square away to enjoy flying this sim DJ
