Purchased - a few itms of concern

Featured Replies

Hi all

I just purchased the C90B King Air HD today and overall I am very happy with it. I get no hit in my frame rates, it handles very well and is easy to just hop in and fly. I have, however, found a few problems with it and am unsure as to whether or not they are known issues. I've sent a request to Carenado for assistance.

First of all, please see the screenshot below. It shows my C90B following a flight to YBBN with the wheel chocks in place and the cones also in place. Notice that while the wheels sit firmly (and correctly) on the taxiway, the wheel chocks and cones hover above it.

Also, I found that the strobe lights seem to be a bit on the extreme side - the flash seems to be a bit bright/extreme. Even the Boeing 747-400 doesn't have a flash that is nearly the size of a car tyre. The other issue I noticed was that when shutting down the aircraft, I received a notification that the L & R ignition switches were ON, yet they were clearly in the OFF position. Cycling both switches from ON and back to OFF had no effect on this warning.

Has anyone come across these problems? I have had no problems with it other than those described above.

I wish I was you who only have a few issues with this plane... I have a LOT..!

I never had this problem with the visualisation of my chocks.

Likewise here, too - no issue with the chocks. In fact, I was going to add this to the list of outstanding issues but was unable to confirm it (on my setup at least: BE9L with SP1). However, someone else has also reported this issue so you might be onto something.

I only see these phenomenons sometimes on addon-airflields where some special groundlayers for tarmac and apron etc. are placed, but to me it is not Carenado or C90B specific.

From the background of this image you can see it is also an addon-scenery on this specific image.

Best regards,

Yes, that sounds about right... What little I know about FS scenery design from my own explorations, I think there is something with the custom ground polygon layers that seems like it could cause this. When I tried to replicate the issue, it was using a default FSX scenery location with no add-on scenery or custom ground polys. Perhaps the OP could try that as well and report back?
