  1. Thanks for the heads up, OP -- I had been waiting to buy it and this sweetened the deal quite a lot!
  2. Those look fantastic, Clément! I have been aboard N511MC and you definitely captured it. Great work - can't wait to try these out. Are you planning any others? Carbon Edition perhaps? If so - let me know and perhaps we can share PSD's? I never really finished my plans for the Carbon version but some new life into the project would be awesome. thanks again!
  3. Great job, Ray. Really love the comparison pics!
  4. That's all I need to know at this point. Thanks Bert (and really great pictures, Ryan).
  5. Great shots! I always enjoy seeing my repaints getting some use!
  6. Nice video! I know first hand how much work can go into making one of these and you did a great job.
  7. This. (Emphasis added) Each of my SR22 liveries took the better part of 6-8 hours of hands-on work because of the various orientations, mirrored faces, scaling, and sheer lack of any PSD's with layers - so I had to make my own. After that, I vowed to not mess with Carenado repaints aside from changing a reg here and there. It's just too much of a time-suck. If they could get their act together and provide us with a decent, layered PSD paint kit I'm pretty sure the Carenado repaint "market" would explode. But, that's clearly not part of their business model.
  8. Will definitely let you know.
  9. My CFII used to train PC12's and had a few leftovers. B) Looks like it's time to hit the books! Obviously all of these docs are copyright of their respective owners, but, if you have specific questions you'd like me to look up, please let me know.
  10. Awesome! Thanks very much for your work!
  11. Awesome - thanks Bert!
  12. Looks great, Clément and thanks for your comments. Can't wait to see 551JW - let me know if there's any assistance I can provide (I know how much of a challenge repainting these airplanes with no paint kit can be!).
  13. Thanks Lyle! N804KC is available in the avsim library here
  14. Clearly I'm insane... After complaining about the lack of a paint kit and the time investment it took to line up lines and curves on the 2012 SR22 Turbo repaints I did, I came back to do another. I swear this is my last but something about the current 2013+ Carbon appearance package caught my eye. Net investment on this was a bit less but it still was a several week ordeal and I'm b-e-a-t. But, not before I pass it along to anyone who is interested in making her their own. Hoping to wrap up and upload soon. First out of the blocks will likely be N804KC - a December 2013 production date SR22T that was used as a factory demonstrator for the first part of 2014. Pictured below is her cousin, N550SR, in the Sterling overall and orange Carbon appearance package scheme. -- Features: + Cirrus Carbon Package + Color: Sterling overall with orange and carbon fiber accents + Carbon black spinner + GTS trim package + Carbon fiber instrument panel with custom N-number placard + FIKI deicing panel texture upgrades & additions including dual prismatic lights (non-functional) + Several other texture upgrades and features
  15. What altitude are you departing from? Are you full rich or leaned? It takes a second for the turbo boost to kick in, does it ever achieve full power during your takeoff run?
  16. For leaning the Cirrus and general "best practice" engine management, see this post by Alexander Wolf who is a well-respected Cirrus instructor (CSIP). It's on the Cessna forums but is applicable to the IO-550 in the SR22. http://www.cessnaowner.org/memforums/topic.html?id=18732&p=1#p18770 If the graphic for the "red fin" area he mentions doesn't show up, here's a direct link: http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r207/wolfala/Engine%20Related/Redfin.jpg
  17. Well, I'm back -- finally! A couple of nights ago I took it upon myself to see if I could wrap up this paint. Here's a preview... Oh and guess what, the red one brought a friend. N522PK N828ZZ
  18. Did that trip the other day in the F1 King Air. Pretty place for sure. Nice shots!
  19. Where's my "like" button! Would love to see some level of cooperation between those companies who do avionics well and those who do eye candy well. But, alas...
  20. It's still very much a work in progress but lining up the lines, details, and whatnot is a major headache with the Carenado texture sheets (oh, for the want of a decent paint kit...). Hoping to have it available in the next month or so depending on free time.
  21. A few pages back, Ed stated: I was wondering if someone who has purchased the Mindstar 430/530 unit could comment on the depth of the functionality that is simulated? I use the RXP 430 to fly procedures in the sim and increase my familiarity with the 430 for the RW planes I fly. As such, it's imperative that the bulk of the functionality of the real unit be there in the flight sim version (flight planning, editing routes, cursor capability, vertical speed required, terrain maps, coupled approaches, etc. are all useful to me). I'm not super thrilled about the third party AIRAC data - third party as opposed to the most commonly used sources - but at least it IS updatable and even better if the units work in P3dV2.
