Landing gear down speed restriction by ac

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I can not get my 737 NGX to accept gear down in speeds over 245 kts. This problem suddenly showed itself during a descent. Had the same problem with my old pc and other Boeing add-ons, but now I have a new pc. My .dll file contains nothing but FSX Accelration and PMDGs 737 NGX(including your last update for this add-on). I have allready tried one complete reinstall, but that got me nowhere. What might be the cause, and how can I fix it?

Could you be exceeding the max speed you can put the gear down at?

Max gear extension speed is 270 kts as per the AFM.

Normally deploying gear at anywhere between 10 to six miles from touchdown will be more than adequate. Also at that range you should be well within gear management speed. You can on the pmdg's rip your gear off if you flying to fast or damage the gear doors so that your gear won't deploy.

I once had to land the 747 with no gear because of that, I also on one occasion dmaged flaps becasue they where deployed at to great a speed I have since learned the errors of my ways.

Hmm. I was going to suggest did you try alternate gear extension but I don't think it is modelled the same as the MD-11 (I think you have to use the key shortcut for it rather than pull the handles like you can in the MD-11).

Best regards,

Robin.
