April 21, 200422 yr Author I use waterzone.zip they are good textures. It does have the block problem when you fly over 20,000 feet as someone mentioned. I hope one day that problem will be solved.
May 7, 200422 yr Dear Chris, after some experimentals with some water-replacement-sets, without saving the original files, I have some trouble. What I have to do, to get the original water textures back?My problem is, the waves who's breaking to the coastline, are irregular, not fluence rather than interrupted. What about the original oceanheight.bmp, where I can find these file on the CD???Maybe it depends on my many times testing. Can you or somebody help me, to get my original wave conditions back. Many thanks to all of youl...B.R.Stefan (EDDM)

May 7, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi, The 3rd party water are not related to waves who's breaking to the coastline. The default waves effect who's breaking to the coastline are in the effect folder, available in the cd #1 MSGAME1.cab, To be sure, extract MSGAME1.cab to a temp folder and copy the effect folder to fs2004 and overwrite.------------------------------------------------------------------OceanHeightField.bmp is avaialble in the cd# 2 FS9Disc2 MSGAME3.cab------------------------------------------------------------------Ocean Water.Cd #4 SceneryWorldTextureThe files are from 001b2wa1.bmp to 060b2wa1.bmp (there is 60 water bmp), copy them in your fs2004SceneryWorldTexture------------------------------------------------------------------- ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
May 7, 200422 yr Dear Chris, many thanks for your quick response.:-) Why I have to replace the whole effect folder?I have so many addon effect files already installed through many installed add-ons.If I replace the actual folder with the origin once, will I loose then all the other neccessary effect files?!What's the name of the waves effect file? or they are more than one file? Many thanks once again...B.R.
May 7, 200422 yr http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/DC...mID8/41715.html I use the default textures. All I did was change out the oceanheightfield bmp from Bill Lyons FS9Watga3 calm water textures. They're absolutely gorgeous now without those wierd effects.
May 7, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi, "If I replace the actual folder with the origin once, will I loose then all the other neccessary effect files?!What's the name of the waves effect file? or they are more than one file?"files are: fx_waves, wavecontroller, You will probably not loose any new fx added from 3rd party if you overwrite with the ms effect default folder, these will only replace the default effect name from Ms, all new fx with new name will reside in the effect folder.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
