Just setting up the voice edition, things seem to be working ok from what I can tell. One question on starting in 2D. I have selected 2D as instructed and when FSX starts, it does show the 2D cockpit (albeit somewhat mangled, don't know why). After about 2 seconds it switches over to the VC on its own and then completes the count down. Any ideas as to why it is doing this and if this will have an impact on FS2Crew ?

You're probably running EZDOK.

 

From what I understand, it will automatically switch you to the VC.

 

Why the devs did that, who knows.

 

So long as the aircraft loads initially in the 2D, you should be okay.

 

The test is if you get the SDK error message or not. If you don't get it, you'll have no problems (V1.3 or later only).

 

Note: Some people are able to start in the VC no problem, so go figure.

Yes I have EZDok so that explains it. I ran through the tutorial very quickly just to set things up and see it was working...no SDK error, so looks like I am good to go.
